I, Aegean Lee, am excited to announce my candidacy

for the Fremont Union High School District area 5 High School Board.

I have lived in our community for over 28 years and as a parent of a Lynbrook HS graduate. Like most residents in this community, I am a first-generation immigrant to the U.S. from Taiwan and the first in my family to earn a Master's degree in the U.S. (with a major in Graphic Design).

As a parent, I’m committed to maintaining our all high schools and creating a better learning environment for every student. My decision to run is driven by my dedication to our children and community. I aim to work closely with schools, teachers, and parents to build a brighter future.

For over twenty years, I have actively contributed to our community, serving in various educational roles such as Co-Founder and Program Director of the IDEA Education Foundation (since 2010), Scoutmaster and Assistant Scoutmaster for Scouts Troop 888 and Troop 452, Overseer of the River of Life Christian Church children's programs and Core-Team of Family Ministry, and as a volunteer for numerous classroom and school projects. My IDEA Education Foundation offers free seminar programs to support students and the community, including college prep, financial aid, and AI forums. I founded the "Cupertino Parenting Program" and served as program director (weekly programs and events) for over five years. Additionally, I have been committed to volunteering at the Santa Clara ROLF Food Pantry (since 2019, three days a week, six hours per day), supporting our unhoused neighbors, and the Organization of Special Needs Families (OSF) special needs programs (T888/C888), along with many community education events.

I am fully dedicated to addressing critical issues in the Cupertino Union School District and Fremont Union High School District by working closely with the community and families. I firmly believe that our collective efforts will strengthen our community and Fremont Union High Schools.

As a candidate unbeholden to special interests and supported by grassroots efforts, I hope to earn your trust and support. If elected, I will work tirelessly to advance our district, listen to your voices, protect all schools for education and create a brighter future together.

I would be honored and grateful to receive your support and endorsement.
